Shri Guru Nanak Dev Sewa Society celebrated the baisakhi for the first time in Kathmandu (Nepal) on 13 April, 2013. On this festival, Sikhs from Nepal helped a lot and we even thank the Sikhs from various other Sikh Sewa Societies for being a helping hand for us. The place has many memorials related to the great Guru that needs to be preserved by us, so we request you all to help the Sikh Sewa Society whole-heartedly by giving in your services as well as donating money for the same so as to shower the blessings by the Almighty on your family. The Sewa Society intends to help 40 orphan children with food and education by bearing their expenses as its mission.

The noble cause can only be achieved with your support. A new building shall be built for the Nanak Mathh Gurudwara Sahib Ji so that the Sikh devotees can live there and pay obeisance to the Almighty with ease. A museum will also be constructed that would contain the things of Guru Nanak Dev Ji as well as Shri Chand Ji. The Nanak Mathh has been blessed by Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The Sikhs who went to the Mathh on Baisakhi were told about a tale of Bhai Rajinder Singh. Bhai Rajinder Singh was sleeping at night when he suddenly heard kirtan at 12:05 a.m. He woke up and inquired for the same from other Sikh devotees sleeping nearby. He woke three Sikhs this way, all listened to the divine Kirtan Sahib which they stated that they had never heard before. Even today people who go there and pay their obeisance with devotion and respect hear the divine Kirtan Sahib. You all are humbly requested to help the Sikh Sewa Society so that this holy place can be developed and maintained.

People of Nepal were happy and thanked the Guru Nanak Dev Society and promised to give every possible governmental help to the devotees who are waiting there since long time to turn into Sikhs of Guru Nanak. 200 Nepali families have given their names to the Guru Nanak Sewa Society and more and more people are continuously coming to give their names to join together for this holy cause. The Sewa Society has promised to help them. Now, there will be celebrations on the Guru Purab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Nepal and all the people are humbly requested to strive for this noble cause and help the Sewa Society.
